The composer and singer Alejandro Sanz will receive the American Heritage Award, awarded by ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) on Thursday March 24 in Miami (United States).
The English writer will be honored during the ceremony of the 19 Awards ASCAP Latin Music, which organizes the management entity American copyright.
The Spaniard will receive this award for his contribution to music sung in English, reported the General Society of Authors of Spain (SGAE).
The same award was received earlier authors and artists such as Armando Manzanero, Antonio Aguilar, Celia Cruz, Ricardo Montaner, Ednita Nazario, Franco de Vita and Ricardo Arjona. JMS
