Reconstructing Citizenship Estate

For two days: 10 and 11 December 2010 Chillán Viejo met in the First Congress of Heritage Districts and Zones of the Bío Bío Region "Rebuilding public assets."

Organised by the Heritage Foundation's Prayer, Chilean Association of Neighborhoods and heritage areas, the city of Chillán Viejo, the city of Chillán, C Artistic and Cultural entered Victor Jara de Chillán and various organizations concerned with cultural heritage of Chile and the Bío Bío Region, was 80 attendees from various districts of the region.

participated in the inauguration of Felipe Aylwin, Mayor of Chillán Viejo, a representative of Sergio Zarzar, Mayor of Chillán, a representative of Felipe Harboe, Deputy Chairman of the Special Commission and Historical Heritage Cultural Chamber of Deputies, Estrella Monroy, President Cultural Arts Center and Victor Jara de Chillan and Rosario Carvajal, President Asociación Chilena de Barrios and Heritage Areas.

In the second day there were presentations of 7 people representing different places and work related to the cultural heritage of the region. During the afternoon there was a work shop with all the attendees together to generate the diagnosis and proposals for a civic agenda assets of the Bio Bio Region. Congratulations to all attendees and dreams to be reflected in the initiation of heritage city work from the formation of the Regional Bureau of Cultural Heritage.

First Congress of Heritage Districts and Zones Bío Bío Region AWARDS

Our Heritage Foundation, the Chilean Association of Neighborhoods and heritage areas, the city of Chillán Viejo, the city of Chillán, Artistic and Cultural Center of Victor Jara Chillán and various organizations concerned with cultural heritage of Chile and the Bío Bío Region, invites you to participate in the First Congress of Heritage Districts and Zones of the Bío Bío Region "Reconstructing Citizenship Wealth" to be held on 10 and December 11, 2010 in Chillán and Chillán Viejo.

The objective of the conference is to strengthen the organization and powers of association of organizations and residents who live in Heritage Areas in the Region, as those who live, work or study in neighborhoods and villages with a rich heritage recognized by the communities themselves. After the earthquake, and within days of first anniversary of this important part of the territory affected, it is necessary to take stock, where debate and action should focus on recovery heritage citizenship, capable, regional and national level, to meet the challenges of heritage in the XXI century. In this scenario, the organized voice of the communities is essential for the recovery of our economic sectors, such as the requirement for public policy and citizen participation in the development of the heritage of Chile.

Can You Get Pink Eye More Than Once?

The conference began on Monday 22 November with the act of shooting in the First Chamber of the Municipal Theatre, in the presence of Regional Councillors, Artisans Quinchamalí, officials of the Culture of the Municipality, the Cultural Artists Steel Corporation, the Association of Relatives of Disappeared Detainees, Suplementeros Guild, artists and friends of the Cultural Center.

On Thursday 25 November at 12:00 hrs ., Together with our friend Tony Corden , (organizer of "The dream exists, Victor Jara festival in Machynlleth, Walles, UK) visited the Victor Jara Liceo Quiriquina, the birthplace of Victor to carry-on co-management instruments to emerging musical gift group of young musicians of that establishment. We 5 guitars, a drum, 5 flutes, a torment. We brought excited hugs and thanked teachers, students and parents who accompanied the ceremony.

On Friday, 26 November was space for theater and music with a full house at the Great Hall of the Municipal Cultural Center. The Group Sembranza brought cleanliness in music and emotion in the theater for a careful staging of the play "The Town", compilation of Victor in making campground Herminda of Victoria. The day was dedicated to all the people who staged throughout Chile as epic, but was especially dedicated to Rosita we Mora, leader historical neighborhood of Vicente Pérez Rosales, who is very concerned of Health.

On Saturday 27, difficult day for the change of scenery brought us a beautiful day, with exhibitions of paintings, handicrafts, photography, pottery native food and farming, and a show so spectacular.

Everything worked as planned and our balance is very positive, except for the extreme security provided for the authority.
